Founded in 1903, the Teamsters mission is to organize and educate workers towards a higher standard of living. There are currently 1.4 million members that belong to over 400 individual locals. This includes virtually every occupation imaginable, both professional and non professional, private and public sectors.
About Teamsters Local 348
Founded in 1933, Teamsters Local 348 has a proud tradition of serving workingmen and women in and around the Tri-County area. First chartered in 1933 our members work in a wide range of trades and industries. Teamsters Local 348 is a miscellaneous local representing member’s including:

- Manufacturing Workers
- Parcel Delivery
- Dairy Workers
- Construction & Building Material Workers
- Warehouse Workers
- Public Employees

Teamsters Local 348 is a member of the Tri-County Building & Construction Trades Council and the Akron Medina Labor Council (AFL-CIO) and is an affiliate of Teamsters Joint Council 41, Ohio Conference of Teamsters, Ohio DRIVE, Ohio Teamsters Sports Committee and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Membership meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at 8:00 p.m., please plan to attend. As a new member or an old member you are likely to have questions of Local 348 and, or, your employer. Local 348 has trained individuals to help answer your questions. Shop stewards are individuals at your place of employment and business representatives who can be reached at Local 348’s offices. Business representatives are employees of Local 348 who have been assigned to shops that they visit on a regular basis to address members concerns, attend to grievances, and administer contract negotiations. As a member of Local 348 your employment is subject to a contract negotiated with your employer. By joining together we can negotiate with management to make your jobs better and make sure we all are treated fairly.
